Tigers 9 Royals 1

After losing 4 straight games to the Red Sox, the Tigers came back with a nice 9-1 victory over Kansas City on Monday night.

Nate Robertson(12-7) threw a great game. He went all 9 innings while giving up only 1 run. He also had 7 strikeouts. He is the first Tigers left-hander to win 12 games since Justin Thompson won 15 games in 1997. Nate's era for the season is now 4.40.

Craiq Monroe had another great game. He hit a 3 run homer and a 2 run homer in this one. Monroe has batted .373 with seven homers and 18 RBIs over the last 16 games.

During this game, Pudge scored his 1000th run and Dmitri Young collected his 1000th hit. Pudge also hit a homerun in this game.

The Tigers' record now sits at 61-70.
